Jagmeet Singh: Trump Should Be Banned from Entering Canada
Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada’s NDP, calls for a ban on U.S. President Donald Trump from attending the G7 summit in Canada due to his criminal allegations and global threats. The Canadian government has yet to respond to Singh's demand.
Ottawa: Canada’s opposition NDP (National Democratic Party) leader, and Khalistani sympathizer, Jagmeet Singh, on Wednesday, during a meeting with the Material Council on Foreign Relations, referred to U.S. President Donald Trump as a criminal. He demanded that Trump be banned from stepping foot on Canadian soil for the upcoming G7 summit. Singh pointed to Trump's past criminal allegations and his threats to global nations as reasons for the ban.
Trump Should Be Banned from Entering Canada:
"I believe Trump should be banned from participating in the G7 summit. Why should we allow a convicted criminal to enter our country? A person who has threatened our democracy, sovereignty, economy, allies, and the world should not be allowed entry," Singh stated. He urged the Canadian government and allied nations to use the G7 platform to stop Trump, suggesting that Canada should form alliances with countries such as Mexico, New Zealand, and Australia to counter him. Singh also expressed support for strengthening the Canadian military with advanced weapons.
Singh’s Comments on Trump’s Remarks:
The Canadian government has yet to respond to Singh’s statement. Prime Minister’s office spokesperson Simon Lafortune stated that they would not comment on the matter. Energy Minister Jonathan Wilkinson expressed that there was little substance in Singh’s proposal. He also pointed out that many of Trump’s remarks had angered him personally, but emphasized the importance of finding ways to cooperate. "We cannot afford to be divided and drift away into the sea. They are our neighbors, and we must move forward together," he said.
The G7 summit will take place in Alberta from June 15 to 17 (Source).
